If you have the TopDeal / Deal Top adware, search for those terms in the Apple Support Community and you’ll find some manual instructions on how to remove it. I’m not sure which adware it removed, but it did not remove the TopDeal / Deal Top adware that was on my computer. Upon scanning again, the app reported no found files but the issue persisted. After rebooting my computer, the problem still persisted. The app was very fast and scanning my system and found one suspect file and removed it. I purchased this app to help remove some very annoying popup Adware windows/tabs that I was experiencing. Good, but not as exhaustive as I hoped for. The browser adware cleaner also works well, but again, check preference defaults! So overall I recommend BitMedic Pro.

The other features work fine, and the last update speeded the opening of BitMedic dramatically. Pocket Bits online support did respond to my questions about quarantine, but I’ve found no way to modify this behavior. When I checked my accounts I was informed they were not able send emails to my address of record anymore. Mail Shield deletes or quarantines these emails. For years I have received bill ready to view online alerts.
To my dismay I found Mail Shield views all emails from credit card companies as threats or phishing. The only issue I’ve had is the very aggressive Mail Shield (one of the monitoring services under the Health Monitor). This app provides a reassuring level of protection. I strongly advise new users to read the user guide and check all preference defaults.
